In the last few weeks, we have been made aware of a significant (higher than average) degree of user complaints regarding Binverse. We were excited at the launch of Binverse and hope this is a temporary trend, but for now we have decided to take them off our Top 10 Best Usenet Providers List. For more information on why we have made this decision, please check out the complaints board.
The majority of user complaints focus on problems resolving billing issues, being over-charged, issues with the Free Trial and claims of fraudulent advertising around their “Unlimited Download” feature that many say does not work. The company started out offering block plans and just launched a new Unlimited Plan, but it seems that they are experiencing growing pains. At this point we do not feel that it would be fair to new users to heavily promote Binverse until some of these issues are resolved.
Are you a Binverse user, or have you tried their service? If so, please let us know what your experience has been by commenting on this article. (No flames or flame-like language please – let’s help other Blog subscribers by sticking to factual descriptions of this provider).
Update: Still lots of comments pouring in! See below.

It gave the impression some service manuals were available prior to signing up. Now signed up, none are.
Been wondering about that…

Please stay away from Binverse.
The 14 day free trial is bogus. What you get is a $1 paypal fee and set Binverse up to charge your paypal account without further consent.
Hi Bene,
We continually hear complaints about the poor service at Binverse. It is unfortunate that there are a lot of Usenet review sites that promote them pretty heavily. What are you looking for in a Usenet provider? Our website is a good starting point for information but if you have specific questions please feel free to email me directly.
All the best,

Uses an “Access Denied Page to rope you into the scam; because it lies and states that it has exactly what you are seeking. Of course this is a ruse to optain your credit card info
Hi Kyasa, thanks for your feedback! We receive a lot of complaints about Binverse. If you are looking for a good service that is easy to use I would recommend Easynews. They have great support and if you are not happy with the service you can easily cancel the account. I hope this helps! Hi Marcy
Yeah, i think alot of the sites that are promoting Binverse are also getting commisions for signing up new customers. You’ll notice few have open forums for users to post real experiences.
Thanks for having this forum open for Binverse discusions.
Hi Ben,
Yes, we are aware that Binverse has a very lucrative affiliate program. Based on the feedback we have had from people who have tried the service we cannot in right conscience promote this brand like some of the other Usenet Review sites. While money is always alluring, we prefer integrity over money. What Usenet service do you like the best?
All the best,

Binverse is a SCAM. DO NOT use your Paypal account, they imbed a Recurring Payment in your Paypal account when you send them the 1.00 for the trial period. Thereafter, Binverse charge your Paypal account without you aware of them. Once you aware of them, they WILL NOT refund you. So DO NOT pay them with Paypal or Credit Card. Binverse is a SCAM. No ligitimate business using their contact system. They use contact system so you do not have proof between you and them. You can not reply their email but need to fill out a different contact to send them. Therefore you have no record of your complaint.
Hey Peter,
I just had a similar experience with another non-Usenet related company where I was being repeatedly charged for a service I had tried out and did not end up wanting, and could not figure out how to deactivate the account. It was also equally impossible to get through to “a person” to help me resolve the issue and I too had to fill out an online form (for the third time). It is a really frustrating when this happens! Anyhow, sorry to rant
If you want any advice on a good Usenet service, please let me know.
Cheers,
marcy@usenetadvantage.net
One more thing. Login your Paypal and remove Recurring Payment immediately or else they will able to charge your account at any time. Contact Paypal if you need instruction how to remove the Recurring Payment Binverse imbed in your Paypal account without your authorization.
I have had a good experience with binverse . Of course I realize that most people want something for nothing if you want free try torrents!!
Another user concluding that Binverse is a scam: I signed up for the trial ($1). Their own email states:
“If you are taking advantage of the Binverse free trial offer, you will be able to download 5 Gigabytes of Quantum Leap downloads. You may activate your full account at any time in order to get access to your full download allotment. You can activate your full account by logging on to the Binverse website and clicking on “My Plan”.”
I NEVER activated a full account, yet they issued a recurring payment of $21.99 with my PayPal account.
More proof that they do not intend to operate a legitimate business is that they refused to refund this amount. Any business that cared about their reputation would behave differently. Binverse are thieves.
Ok I am actually new to the usenet system and thought about trying out Binverse as it was highly recommended when I searched the net. Of course at the time I also saw many complaints about the way they billed.
After reading all the complaints I figured that I will give them a try and just stop reaccuring payments on my Pay Pal account.
After a full month of using the UNLIMITED plan for 21.99, below are my findings.
Pro’s
-Extremely fast download speeds that almost make full use of my 50mbits/s connection.
-Very easy to use software.
Cons
- 95% of all my searches for video contents were in GERMAN for audio!!!
- Useless Customer 24hr customer support as every time I have called they just submitted a request to their technical support department.
- Technical support is poor as they just send you an email a week later with little to no help as their answers you can on their website. And they always blame either your ISP or Your PC!!
- I did indeed confirm that both the $1 dollar Trial and $21.99 monthly charge was both active on my PAY PAL account as re accuring payments. Hence if I didn’t cancel them on my account I am sure they would have charged me 2 times the following month for the service of $21.99×2.
All in all, I want to steer clear of torrents as they take a toll on my HD and take up my resources.
Is there anyone that can point me in the right direction for a new Usenet user to get better or close to speeds I got on Binverse with English content as opposed to rips in other languages??
I don’t mind paying a reasonable monthly rate, but do prefer Unlimited as opposed to buying blocks.
Hope the above review helps to keep them off your top 10 and those new users like myself who don’t mind paying for a usenet service.
Thank you in advanced.
Jeff
Hi there
Trough paypal, I have just received a confermation of a payment made to Binverse. They charged me $21.99 even though I only entered my paypal info for the FREE trial period!!! If you join the free trial period, you get anyhow billed a $1 cherge for verification – that’s what I agreed to, that’s what I knew. However, Binverse was entered to the list of recurring payments in paypal without me knowing. What an impertinence!
This company doesn’t deserved to be named along with other newsgroup readers as their behaviour is fraudulent.
Kind regards and more luck to you.
Diego
Hi, I was charged $100 2 weeks after the free trial.. I was never able to activte my account, or login to complain.. they did not answer my support requests…I filed a fradulent transaction against them with paypal, and paypal have refunded my money.. so there is help if you act quickly..
This company practises fradulent activity and bills people without their consent !!!
Sh#*!!!
i wished i had read this before entering binverse for their trial thing. just found out that $100 was taken from my paypal account and when I sent them (binverse) e-mail their reply just did not help. I hope paypal will pay me back $100 now
I still dont understand, how come they have access to my paypal???????????????
Hi there,
I’m wondering about the bad experiences with binverse here. I tested binverse the promised 14 days, but cancelled before the trial period expired – and had no problems at all. After online-cancellation, I received an email with the appropriate confirmation. If I had enough money, I would singn in there again – because it was just useful. But that’s not possible for me at the moment. So I’m glad to have no problems with paypal or binverse, good luck for everyone who has it!
p. s. perhaps a call could help you more than an email to the support-team – there’s nothing better than speaking directly to a person if you want to discuss a problem in my opinion.
This is bs I stupidly signed up for the ” free trial” two weeks later 100 f****** dollars is taken out of my account without my authorization. Usenet keep them off the top ten they are a fraud if I ever seen one.
I agree 100%
Chris can I have the details of your dispute? Paypal rejected my claim!

When you were writing this post, you must have been thinking, “Four hostile newspapers are more to be feared than a thousand bayonets..”.
Spot on with this write-up, I actually suppose this web site needs rather more consideration. I’ll probably be again to read far more, thanks for that info.
